Dana Point is another unincorporated area of Orange County that is patrolled by deputies from the Orange County Sheriff's Department. Both have fine dining restaurants and bars located within the resorts and which are a popular eating, dining, and drinking establishments in the City of Dana Point, California.
There are also some additional notable hangouts, such as Stillwater, and of course the ever so popular, Hennessey's Tavern, both popular drinking establishments located in Dana Point.
Additionally, to get from Laguna Beach to any cities South of Dana Point, such as Capistrano Beach, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, or neighboring Laguna Niguel, you must pass through a portion of Dana Point, California, thereby exposing you to an oftentimes overzealous Orange County Sheriff - Dana Point Division desirous of pulling you over to determine whether he or she has a reason to investigate you for DUI of alcohol and/or drugs.
