SHOWTIME'S "SHAMELESS" STAR, ETHAN CUTKOSKY, ARRESTED ON DUI-MARIJUANA CHARGES
ETHAN CUTKOSKY'S DUI-MARIJUANA CHARGES
According to news reports, Ethan Cutkosky's recent encounter with the law is similar to the life of Carl Gallagher, the character Cutkosky portrays on Showtime's hit series "Shameless".
Cutkosky was charged with a misdemeanor DUI-Drugs this week stemming from a DUI arrest on November 2, 2017 at around 10:30 pm., according to TMZ. Cutkosky was stopped after reportedly straddling traffic lines, which is an alleged violation of Vehicle Code Section 21658(a).
The 18-year-old reportedly smelled of marijuana and admitted to police officers that he smoked marijuana earlier in the evening at the time he was pulled over in Los Angeles around 10: 30 p.m. Thus, the DUI charges will likely be for DUI-Marijuana pursuant to Vehicle Code Section 23152.
Cutkosky allegedly spent that night celebrating his girlfriend's birthday. Both Cutkosky and his girlfriend, Brielle Barbusca, shared photos of the celebration to social media just hours before the arrest according to TMZ and other related news reports on Ethan Cutkosky's DUI-Marijuana arrest.
ETHAN CUTKOSKY'S CHARACTER ON SHAMELESS
Cutkosky's character in the series has a rebellious streak and at one point found himself in a juvenile detention center.
While this offense will not likely land Cutkosky in jail, a second offense DUI will expose him to such a punishment, which is one of the many inherent dangers of the aggressive prosecution of those charged with driving under the influence of marijuana or DUI-Marijuana, which has only been highlighted by Ethan Cutkosky's DUI-Marijuana arrest.
